Default Queries_VFS_Mumbai consulate

Hi ,

I am applying for my mother's visitors visa , we have 2 stages first we have to send documents to VFS and then go to interview to consulate -apprecate if some one can answer my queries - my email is vikas_j40@hotmail.com

1)IT is written that form no 156 has to be sent to VFS , but it is also supposed to have this during the interview , ..Do ineed to have another DS-156 form with me filled up?

2)Similarly draft for american consulate for amount 4600 and issuance fee draft for 2300 have to be made ,which draft we have to take during the interview ..so this one we do not need to send to VFS ?Or do VFS people give this back to us in consulate??

2) Is there a VFS guy at consulate who gives these 156 form and draft given to the candidate .

3) I need a Hindi Translator - how do I formally request for this, do we request this with VFS

THANKS a LOT

Default heres my response

You need to drop all the documents I-156 and drafts and give it to courier guys.

you need to get the forms from outside the VFS center and drafts you can ask at thecounter or get it from banks.

On the day of interview while entering you need to specify you need a translator

hope this helps.

Default reply to VJAIN's query

Hi Vjain:

Please make sure you ask your parents ask on counter 1, when they submit their passport for a translator.

I understand you have booked interview for them on 12th FEB.If they did not receive the required documentation 8 calendar prior to interview the appointment gets cancelled by the system. Check you bulk mail, I got the reponse from VFS in bulk mail.

Anyways, ask them to take a letter of request with them on day of interview and submit it along with passport. Also, your father can verbally mention it to the person when he submits the letter of request.

I hope this helps.
