Hi,
My In-laws are planning to come next month to USA. Their age is 60, 55. As of today by God's grace they are healthy. But still I dont wanna to take any chance of getting them here without any Insurance. Planning to take Insurance from here. But there are lot of companies who provides Insurance to visitors with competitive price. After looking at it, I am totally ambiguous to choose the right one. I would appreciate if someone guide me which one will be the better choice in regards to price and claim procedure. Thanks |

Hi Murali,
Thanks for your link...It helped me to understand but to be more specific, I am comparing with Liberty & Inbound Insurance policy as their prices are more economical than others. Since both the coverage are more or less same, It is very difficult to chose and so I would appreciate if someone gives me pro's & con's of the two companies. Thanks |

It is as that Path2USA and other web sites which are supposed to provide unbiased info on the plan choose to display few that may be paying them! There is an excellent plan out there provided by India Network that I took last time for my in-laws. After research, I found that it is the best for out there with lowest premiums and best coverages. Moreover, that is the only program where the rates has gone down over the years without decrease in benefits. All info on the plan can found on the India Network Foundation web page at India Network Health Program.
I will appreciate if Path2USA and similar sites clearly state whether their choices are driven by commissions they receive or to help people in an objective way. Last edited by p2uadmin : 06-12-2004 at 02:31 PM. |

kedutt,
There are many anonymous user comes and provide such a so called unbiased info but most of them are "advertisers", intruders/spamers try to recommend services in few lines at same time preaching Path2usa on what they do and what don't for - FREE ? The definition for good or bad features can be different for each person depends on their need and a particular plan, practically there is no short term insurance plan which cover you for millions/thousand for just 40$ per month ? and most of the visitors take 3- to 6 months so that would be ; 240$ for max 6 months ? and you expect to give 100% coverage ? Insurance industry can't run their business at this formula. Path2usa never says that any partiular plan is BAD if not listed on path2usa. NO plan is bad, just the features are different at different price. The imporant factor is after Sales Service which matters a lot so must consider that factor.

kedutt,
Are you talking about the indnet program underwritten by AIG? The maximum that plan pays in case of emergency is $750. It's very similar to Inbound USA. To see what the problem is with this plan, Inbound USA and all other limited coverage plans, see other threads on this topic in this forum. |
