Default Reg PERM Start date and I140

Hi

I am on my 5th year of my H1. I have the following questions regarding GC.

1. Should PERM be applied and LC be approved before the end of 5th year ?

2. If LC and I 140 is approved can I switch Jobs and move to a different company ?

These questions may be very basic as far as GC is concerned. But any help is appreciated.

thanks

Default no problem itseems

you can get your I-140 approval before 5 years, even with in a year if all factors cooperates.if you change your company then you need to file for fresh LC and I-140,i belive you know this.but only your priority date stand same.if it is very necessary then only people will try to switch, very few people takes risk, becuase you dont know the next company will also keep you in zeoparadise state, unless until if you belive the next company then only take risk.

Thanks for the reply

So LC can be filed anytime before the 6 years - even the last year ?
Should it be approved before the end of 6 th year or just applied before end of 6th year ? What is the minimum condition ?

Thanks Simran. I have another question.

If I-140 is approved before the end of 5th year , can I move to a different company and get stamped on the new H1 for 3 years ?
