Default re

Yo can apply for an TAX extesion for 3-4 months.
In between please apply for ITIN number, it should come with 4-6 weeks.
And then you can file tax.

Default I think you cann't

I think you can not claim Tax exemption for ur wife under the circumstances you described . To claim for your wife for the year 2001 , you have ensure that she entered USA on or before 31st Dec , 2001 .

Thanks,

Entering in USA is not important, What is importnat is when u got maried..
If you were married in 2001, no matter where your wife was

Default afaf

You can claim her as dependent on form since u got married before 31st Dec 2001. Remember to attach SSN denial form with your return. SSN office will give a letter to ur wife as to why they cant give her a SSN and u can then attach this and say that u have applied for TIN and then go ahead and apply for TIN
