Claiming tax exemptions for my wife on H4 visa

Iam on H1B visa here working since 2001, my wife joined me in the month of Feb 2001 ,and got her ITN # in the month of August2001. She is a dependent and her Medical insurence is being deducted from my salary pay check,

Can I calim her as a dependent and get the exemptions for the amount paid for her medical insurence in 2001.

Kindly advise me , which from to fill and whether to fill seprately or jointly.
