Default FEDERAL TAX QUESTION

Can anyone answer this question? If a couple is separated but file a joint return and are due a refund, one spouse tells the other there is NO refund and deposits it directly into his account, can anything be done about this? The divorce was final before the end of the year.

If the divorce was final before the end of the year , Who told you to file Married fileing jointly . You are considered single or Head of household if you had a kid staying with you

The cheque can be only deposited ina joint acct , Why keep a joint acct when you are getting divorced

U need a lot of advise , contact a qualified attorney
