Default Visitor Insurance .... Please Help

Hi All,

My mom and dad got Visitor visa through drop box in Chennai.

My father is 64 and he suffered a heart problem about 6 years back when he was 58. He is fine since then, though he is following up with doctor on a regular basis (every 6 mnonths check-up).

Most of the visitor insurances do not cover pre-existing conditions. Could anyone let me know what options that I have? I heard there are some plans that cover pre-existing conditions at a higher premium or will provide limited assistance, like a fixed amount $20 K or so.

Thanks for your help

my mother in law is an asthma patient, has minor heart problem aged 60. she is undergoing chemotherapy for brain tumor.

I want to protection against $500 for my mom's asthma problem which can attack unexpectedly.

and also against $20K to 30K for any unexpected complications because of heart problems.

Which plan do you suggest? TIA.

Default Your Advice

If you are sure that there will not be any uexpected problems like accidents, then my suggestion is not to waste your money. Also, if the visitors have any past history of health problems like heart attack etc, they are better off not making US trip. It is just not worth it.

Default One must take insurance

BUT health problems doesn't work on assuptions? Who knows what problem/accident/illness one can encounter.
Insurance should be must, specially in country like USA where medical services are expensive. Dont take risk must take Insurance, for your own peace of mind.

Default underwriter

Some of the Underwriter for insurance plans like Atlas or Immigrant are Lloyd's Insurance which is again a UK based company. Will it not be the same situation as in India ?
