Default Here's the rub....

Father had high cholesterol....had an angioplasty 5 years ago.....takes some medicines everyday.

From I have read, this is a pre-existing condition and will NOT get covered by any of the visitors insurances if there is a sudden stroke or attack.

Now here's the million dollar question...do we pay the 60,000 for regular rate or 20,000 for the insurance negotiated rate? If this is a pre-existing condition, would we eligible for the negotiated rate?

I am desperate to get the answer to this one.....this affects a whole lot of us.

Default clarification...

I meant in case of emergency, the regular hospital bill would come to $ 60,000 wheras the bill at the insurance negotiated rate would come to $ 20,000. Now which of these two amounts will the hospital expect us to pay?
