I had taken Indnet (AIG) insurance for my father and he had to be taken to emergency as he complained about chest heaviness. Although all tests (EKG, chest X-ray, etc.) were negative, we received a bill of around $4000 from emergency. Obviously, the insurance company wouldn't cover more than $500. Has anybody run into similar situations and been successful in shaking off emergency from billing you so heavily?

Sounds like a limited coverage plan.
Unless you have other insurance you will have to pay the balance yourself. This is why I am discouraging everyone from buying any limited coverage plan. See other threads on this issue. |

Not all plans are the same, some are better than others, take a look at www.iabweb.com/employrbenefitgp . This one I think is the best one out there, but you make the decision for your self and besides this one has a Money Back rewards program no matter how much it is used.
Take care |
