Hello,

I received my H1-B through a consultant (Company A) 3 weeks ago and he is currently looking for projects I can work on. I received an offer letter today for a permanent position from Company B. To transfer my H1-B from Company A to B what paperwork will I need to submit, what proof do I have to show? I have ONLY the original I-797 Notice from Company A and no other documentation. Is this enough for my transfer to Company B? As far as possible I don't want to inform Company A about my intention to transfer.

Thanks!

The list of docs for h1 transfer is the same as for a new h1b
(education + experience docs, previous and current i797 , i94 copies , passport copies etc)
In most cases about 2 current paystubs are required. Please check with the company attorney for more info.
