a big doubt in H1-B

Hi everybody

This is aditya. Currently i am working in a mfg. industry. My company is planning to send me to US in the H1-B category and i am the first person in this company to be sent in this category.There r people who have visited US in L1-B segment. Whether woud i be able to secure this Visa? I have only 1.5 yrs exp in my pocket and this is gonna be my first US visit.
Secondly i have heard tht US is opening an other quota somewhere in Apr-06.Is this true? and if so whats the maximum period within which i would be able to get it?

Reg your 1st qn : your company can sponsor any visa for you and the other L1s do not matter for your H1

if u apply under in apr 2006 quota the earliest work start date u can have is oct 1 06.
