I got an F1 visa issued on 30-Jul-2003 and is valid untill 29-Jul-2008 under the Annotation of New Jersey Institute of Technology. I had an I-20 from the university (NJIT) valid untill my graduation date.
I graduated with my bachelors degree in December 2004 and applied for my Optional Practical Training (OPT) from NJIT which is valid untill 15th Jan 2006 which was issued from NJIT on a new I-20 with the same SEVIS number. I am applying to XXX School in Manhattan for XXX course. This university will be issuing my new I-20 beginning first week of January 2006.
Now when I travel to my Home-Country (INDIA) in December 2005, is my Visa which is valid untill 2008 in combination with my new I-20 good enough to re-enter in the united states or will I have to get a new Visa altogether?
Please let me know. Help is greatly appreciated.
