Sir,
I appeared for my B1 visa on Nov 9th at New Delhi Consulate. I have been to the US in 2003 earlier on B1 on behalf of my previous company.
This time my visa application was accepted but my name matched with somebody, hence consular asked me to come with another draft of Rs3440 for fingerprints verification which will be sent to US. It was done the very same day. When I gave my fingerprints I was told that it will take 3 to 4 weeks, it has been around 4 weeks, I contacted the embassy they said that my application is still pending and they did not tell me the additional time it may take. I also called up state department in the US and theys also said that my case is still pending. I want some suggestions if you could provide me as to what else I can do to expedite my case, in case I need to call anybody in the US whome should I contact as I am feeling very helpless and it is very urgent that I should go to US on behalf of my company for Project migration on which our company's entire operations depends.
Your quick reply in this matter will be highly appreciated.
Regards
Ranjit
