There was a post where Telugu speakers went for English Appt and were refused since they could not understand the questions.
If your folks can manage some English then you could try.

Not worth taking that risk. Becoz you are wasting a lot of time and effort. I know one friend had an emergency so took an English appt instead of teh regional. They saw the documents and told everything is alright pls take a regional language slot and come back again. I personally think you are wasting time.
