I have taken appointment on two different days for my Mom and Dad.

My Mom's appointment is on Dec 12th Chennai

For My Dad it's on Jan 9th.

Will it be a problem? Should my mom take my dad's appointment doc on Dec 12th.

What should she tell, if the counselor asks her why the appointment was taken on 2 different days.

Pls help me on this ! ...

Any dates open for Tamil?
Can we take English appointment for non English speakers? Is it that mandatory? Won’t there be a translator by default

Just some points guys.

1) This coordination to swap appts will not work, by the time the system updates some other person could get the vacated appt slot. So be very careful when trying it out.

2)Non english speaker taking an English lang appt is a bad idea -- how it works in the Chennai consl is that the people are grouped according to language. So a person with English lang appt may not be allowed into the other groups.

I could see many of you got an appointment date for March yesterday late night. I was looking for Tamil as the language and there were no dates available. Did any one of you book dates for Tamil? Or is it English you all are talking about?

Please let me know.

Hi,

I see couple of you were successful in getting appointments today. Could you please tell me if the appointment is with Chennai consulate or a different one? Also which language did you select? I'm badly in need of appoinment dates for my parents in Dec 2005 or Jan 2006. I live in Wash DC (ie EST). can you please tell me when is a good time to see if slots open up for interview?
I assume you used the VFS system...right?

Thank you.

Usually its the early morning our time (EST) (eventhough there is no consistency rgding this). I didn't see any Non english dates yet though. I am also looking for a Non-English one.. so keep trying and I believe (and really hope) April dates will have some slots for Non English.

It was given in the VFS site before filling DS 156 form that give your full name in Surname and give FNU in Q.NO-7 that is for First and middle names.

But I have the name in Passport seperately for
Surname - NAVANEETHAN
First name- SUBBULAKSHMI

By the VFS condition I should fill,
Surname - SUBBULAKSHMI NAVANEETHAN
First name- FNU.

Please let me know how should I fill it. Thanks.
