Appointments for Tourist visa in April 2006

Hi,
I am unable to get any interview dates in Cheenai for March or April 2006 there is a pop up saying interview dates not available, does this mean that dates in March are not open or its fullup ? Can someone please explain.

Hello where is the option to fill the forms and keep it ready, before the dates are available?

Yes but where are the forms?? and I have just realised that there is no surname given in my passport and I was told that I have to now endorse my surname in the column given in the passport?? Is it really necessary?

- It is not possible to fill data/forms until the dates are available.

- I was keep tracking the dates from 50 days continuously. On average, out of 100 times, i saw dates only 2 times. Then, immediately, i completed all required forms online (Bad part is, dates are not available by the time i filled my applications). But i cannot retrieve the saved application information (it should save the forms for atleast 1 month before blocking the date). I send an email to vfs but they gave very usual/general reply regarding dates: keep checking.

- Personelly, i felt, the new system is very bad. Looks VFS is not responding for any feedback from users like us.

- I saw only 1 advantage to VFS due to this new system i.e., Elimination of funny online booking slots for those who usually do, to block some days. From our perspective this system is simply of no use. Why should we "keep on checking dates" forever to find a slot.

Hope for the best from VFS.

BTW, i am trying for Chennai - Telugu interview.

That's right I am wasting more time searching for valid dates than doing my office work ;) Any idea as to how many forms one has to fill for visitors visa D156 and D157 or only 156 ??

Surekha, in the VFS system you have to fill 156 and 157 for each person.

Also reg surname if your given name is listed as "First Last" then you can use "Last" as your surname.

I think its better and safe to do an 'Observation' at the passport office rgding the surname. They will endorse the correct first/last names on ur passport page.

there are dates available for english i.e,mar 8,13,14,24,27,28,22,20,21. I am in texas ,right now my time is 2:30 am morning(tuesday,dec 6).try to book the appt.
