I entered into America on 2003 within F2 status. This May I have changed my status from F2 to F1. So I got my new I-94 card, but the No. is same as my husband's. When I got a on-campus job and went to apply for my SSN, that officer told me they cannot check out my information in their computer system but my husband's. They only can get my record using my old I-94 number which I got when I enterd into USA, but I am still in F2 status in system. They told me I must contact the immigration office to correct my record.
I contact the USCIS located on Vermont service center, that officer said to request the CIS to correct inaccurate information on my I-94,I should submit my aplication at the local CIS office have jurisdiction over the area where I am temporaily located.Then I went to the a office near my location,BUT I was told they cannot solve my problem, I must send my application of correction to Vermont Center.That is terrible. :confused: I am really comfused about that! NO ONE can help me;(. What should I do??
I do need your help, if you some ideas about this condition. Please do me a favor to give me some suggestions. Thank you so very much!!!!
