hi everyone!
my husband is a green card holder in the US and he hasnt filed a petition for me and our one-year old son.
i want to visit him next april 2006 and stay for one month before i go back to school in june 2006.
my mother and my husband are willing to sponsor my travel to the US.
what do i need to prepare for the visitor visa interview considering that I am still a student. I am a graduating student and taking up Doctor of Medicine (i'll be a doctor in 2007 when I graduate). I dont have enough economic ties to my country since I am still a student. What other substitute documents can I bring to prove that I am going to return after a short visit.
Thanks in advance for all the possible help!

Since you have not applied for an immigrant visa, your husband can sponsor your visitor visa. The officers may or may not choose to agree with your visitor intent depending on how strong ties you show. If you choose to leave your kid behind that may strengthen the case.

Hi!
I think you cann show you incomplete degree as your tie to India. Try to get letter from your school stating your trip and your leave for the same.

thanks for the advice! i can surely prepare my school documents and although it would hurt to leave my son behind, i'll do it for now so that next time that we want to visit my husband again, i can bring him along.
