Hi All,

I really need help. My mother is appearing for an interview at Mumbai Consulate in January 2006. She is a widow . My Father expired in October 2005 only and all her three daughters are in USA. Please give me suggestions specially in this case if some one has passed through this situation before. what are the chances of getting visa

Even i am in the same line here to, mother widow father expired on june2005 and i am the only daughter.
my mother went for the visa on march 2005 she got rejected, second attempt she went on augest 2005 again reject, so i am trying on jan 2005, all the doc which were mentioned in this site i send both the times, first time none of the doc were seen second time dad expired so no tie ups, butshowin good property will help which we did but still no luck.
make sure she is a income tax filer in india i heard that helps

My aunt got visa while all her 4 kids are here in the US. Also another friend's parents got while all their 3 kids are here in the US. I think you need to show strong ties to India. They shouldn't believe that you might stay back here.

Can you provide me more details regarding this if you have?? what kind of ties?? you are talking about properties like house, bank balance etc?? and what type of questions they asked? I got some hope after reading your email.. please let me know if you have more info...

Business/work, property, her parents, sibblings etc can also show ties to India.

look at my experience. mym other is a single parent and she got the visa in the 3rd attempt

can you please provide me details?? like what was the reason for first two rejections.. what questions did they ask?? and any special tips??
