Hi,

My in-laws have Visitor visa interview appointment in December in Chennai. I had booked the appointment in August through TTS website. After the change in vendor from TTS to VFS, the payment options have changed completely and I am unable to find out the exact details anywhere. I suppose I still need to follow the old procedure of payment that was in effect when TTS was the vendor.

Could anyone please let me know the details like how many DDs, the amount and in favor of whom should the DDs need to be created.

This is what it was when I booked the appointment:

Demand Draft for the amount of Rs.441 per passport in favour of T.T.Services, Chennai, payable at Chennai. This amount is to be paid at the TTS counter at the U.S. Consulate General, Chennai.Write your name, your passport number and the date of your appointment on the back of the Demand Draft.

Visa application fee : Demand Draft for the amount of Rs.4400 (per passport) in favour of American Consulate General, Chennai. Demand drafts must be drawn on any nationalized bank or foreign bank with a branch in Chennai. Write your name, your passport number and the date of your appointment on the back of the Demand Draft.

Visa issuance fee : Demand Draft for the amount of Rs.2200 per passport in favour of American Consulate General, Chennai. Demand drafts must be drawn on any nationalized bank or foreign bank with a branch in Chennai. Write your name, your passport number and the date of your appointment on the back of the Demand Draft.

Appreciate your response.

Thanks
Kauntey

Hi!
Just follow the old TTS procedure.

The fees have been changed due to change in exchange rates. So you would get:
1) a Demand Draft(or even cash works ONLY for this) for the amount of Rs.441 per passport in favour of T.T.Services, Chennai.

2) Visa application fee : Demand Draft for the amount of Rs.4600 in favour of American Consulate General, Chennai.

3) Visa issuance fee : Demand Draft for the amount of Rs.2300 in favour of American Consulate General, Chennai.
