Comp B can petition for you, there is no correlation between paystubs and H1 applications. The paystubs will be needed for visa restamping.

Paystub is required for H1 transfer (while filing H1 petition) to show validity of current H1 status.

Thanks Poragoru for your update. I don't remember about the paystubs when I changed jobs but it has been a while. Sorry about the error.

Hello,

You need to have atleast 3-4 paystubs and should submit them for H1B transfer to companyB.

I don't understand on what basis, your new employer said you don't required paystubs? Here I want to caution you that, don't work for companyB until your H1B transfer is approval (with or without paystubs). The thing is if you start working for the Company B, since the time they apply for your visa tranfer/extension and if that get rejected because of no paystubs or something else, you will be out of status and that's it you need to pack (I have seen this with one of my friend).

So for your safe, let Company B apply for the Visa and join them only after it has been approved. Until then stick to Company A or present employer.

Again I want to assert that "I am not scaring you. Just a suggestion"

Note: What ever I said above is not a legal advice and don't take it that way. I explained everything what was happened with my friend's H1B.

Thanks,
SAK

You need Paystub and /OR W2 that shows you are employed and go for H1 transfer .
