Hi
My wife attended H4 visa interview in chennai consulate on october 19th and got query 221(g) asking my employer to explain why the difference in salary mentioned in LCA and year to date salary.

She again went to attend on 27th October ( rainy day )

We resolved this issue in the following way.

1. The salary difference is $10K. So employer paid $7500 as "Retro Active" field in pay slip. Paid the taxes for $7500 amount.

2. Mentioned that I have taken leave for two weeks.

3.Prepared the covering letter and accepted it as mistake in pay roll problem. (Here we have taken risk. I heard that they may come up with new query asking W2 forms for all employees, but we have no other option)

4.My wife is working for MNC in india and her L1 visa already got query. Fortunately, she took leave for one year before the interview date. VO officer asked why you are not going ahead with L1 instead of H4. She replied as personal life is disturbing and showed the leave letter to VO.

5.VO calculated the total earnings of mine and cross checked with amount. there is still difference of $1000 but ignored it.

6. Thats it. VO asked her to pay visa fees. Yesterday my wife receieved her passport.

Thanks a lot to all forum members who helped me in resolving this issue.
