Visitor visa - Passport delay

Hi ,


My mom had appointment on Oct 24th & got Visa. They have informed that she'll get her passport by courier in 2 to 4 days. But still now she didn't get the passport. Is someone in the same situation. Does this delay is due to rain or someother reason?

Its less then a week and in between holidays for Diwali and rain etc , have patience you will get it in few days.
You can also track it at VFS website.

My in-laws appeared for a B-2 visa interview in Chennai on October 20th and were issued the visa. Today is Nov 2nd and they haven't got their passports back yet. I enquired with TT Services and they told me that they haven't yet got the passports from the consulate. I then called the consulate and they told me that the passports were still with them and that they would be sent out in a few days. When I asked for a reason for the delay, they did not give any. It was plain hell just getting them to pick up the phone and answer the call.

Is anyone else out there in the same situation? I saw on this forum that someone else whose parents appeared for a B-2 visa interview in Chennai on the same date as my in-laws got their passports back in 3 days. Does anyone know why some passports are sent out so quickly and others are delayed? Any info would be helpful. Thank you.
