I am planning to get my in-laws, they have an interview next month @kolkata consulate. I badly need them here and trying to minimize the rejection chances.

GURUS.... I NEED HELP.....

1) Do I need to send a separate I-134/DS-156 for each of my in-laws.
2) I have booked through TTS, how many bank draft they needed ?
3) Age of my in-laws FIL-62, MIL-52 do they need to file DS 157 ?
4) They have one daughter(married) in India, will that be enough to show family ties in India.
5) They do not own a house, will that be any problem.
6) FIL retired couple of years back, and MIL is housewife. Staying in a rented house. There is a case going on between landlord and the tenant, do they need to produce any document from court to make the case stronger to retrun back to India.
7) Do I need to send original copies of my pay slip, W2, Bank Statements, Tax returns
8) When can I send this documents to them ? Say if they have an interview in the 4th week of Dec 2005
9) What all things they need to carry for the interview.

Thanks in advance.

Each person needs a separate visa form since it needs a signature and photo for each applicant. Most of your questions are answered on the official websites of the consulate and on VFS, check those out for the best information.

We did not send any originals of W2. We mailed the docs by USPS and they had it in 1 week about 3 weeks before their interview.

1. yes you need DS156 forms for each individual appearing for the visa interview
2. Two bank drafts each of the amt Rs4,400 and Rs2,200 (check for the current rate and amt)
3.No they need not take the DS 157. Infact it is a requirement for only male applicants
4.I think it is sufficient but ask them to tell and talk abt them and esp if they have any grandchildrens out there.
5.No may not be a problem, becoz my MIL went for the visa interview last year and she doesn't have a house/bank account in her name. BUT she spoke of her daughter, granddaughter and unmarried son there.
6.Not too sure abt that. Depends on what the case is
7.Photocopy is sufficient.
8.You can send the docs end of Nov or first week of Dec
9.Take all the docs listed in the path2usa website
Hope this helps
