Can apply for B1 while being on H1 in the US...?

1. Is it possible for a new employer to request B1 while the employee they are hiring is on H1 for another company.

2. Can B1 be stamped in US or how abt Canada / Mexico

3. How abt dependent H4 Visa change... :cool: :cool:

B1 visa does not need any petition and there is no quote for it so there is no conepet of employer filing for B1.
B1 can be obtain by visiting US consulate in your home country.

Thanks for reply...my key question is - if an Indian citizien is already in US on H1, is it possible for him to get B1 stamped in say Canada/Mexico - saving a trip back home.
