Sir,

As this is the second time I am going for my B1 visa. I was granted B1 in 2003 for 3 months. Though my visit this time would be only for 1 month, but can I request the visa officer to grant me B1 for 2 years this time, or you think that this sort of request could land me into trouble. If you think I can make such a request at the time of interview, what is the possibility that the request would be accepted and B1 visa for 2 years will be granted.

Thanks
Ranjit

you should not ask such questions/request, its up to officer to decide in most cases it is 10yrs.

Since you did return within the specified period last time, the officer may give you a longer visa than 2 yrs. So don't jeopardize your chances by making any demands. If you act too desperate the officer may get suspicious.
