form 156 Confusion

I used this link to fill in my parents DS 156 forms

I have a small confusion, when my parents took appointment from ttsvisas they got one page as output which said to "print it". It says please fill 156 page 1 & page 2 on same page (front & back). Also it said do no fill None any where on the page.

Now my friend recently did same thing and his parents got 10 years visas. He told he filled in None in 156 form which ever was not applicable. Now I am confused shall I used None where I want to leave blank or not. coz my mom dad say dont fill this is what the paper they have says, my friend says I am practical example , he filled none and got visa with no problems.

I know it has something to do with generation of bar code. Which it generates.

it is has nothing to do with filing None or leavning blank.
Basically the general guidelines says that if not applicable leave it blank, but individual US consulate and TTS visa website etc says fill none if not applicable( because it was a manul fill) . You can either fill ot leave blank should not matter.
