Visa Documents needed from employer

Hi Friends,
My H1B has been approved 2 days back.I am a regular reader of this forum and found it very helpful.For some time , I happened to see lot of posts like they got 221(g) in Visa interview mainly because of Client and Project Details.

In this regard , it would be great if anyone of you could give a LIST of Documents we must get from the Employer to avoid 221(g)


Please help me in this.


Senior members please give me your input on this.

Murali and the other members are more well versed in this than me. But here is my opinion on this. You need to take documents that will satisfy the consulate officer, that the job offer is bona fide ( such as info on the company as much as possible) and that you are qualified as required by the company on their H-1B application.

If you are with a smaller consulting outfit, the documentation should be greater compared to the a well established company. Normally itshould include contracts, work orders showing that you work for the specific project and it should specify the period, company's tax returns and other related documents.

But these documents should only be presented if asked for...in some cases they would just issue you an visa. So you do not want to volunteer documents and complicate the matter...

Hi everyone,
Does that mean that we should not carry additional documentation
for our stamping?
I have an H1 and thinking of stamping it in near future, but was also
thinking of taking additional documentation from my employer and attaching
it with the offer lettter.
Please advise if this is not necessary and might complicate matters.
