visitor visa help

My mom's visitor visa has been rejected 2 times now. She is appearing for the 3rd time on jan 2006 in chennai consulate. I Just wanted some feedback/tips from you.

Past attempt experiences:

1st ATTEMPT on march 3 2005: My mom went alone (dad planned to stay back) and my husband was sponsoring (he is on h1b and I on h4)

Officer : Why do u want to go to USA ?
Mom : To meet my daughter and tourisum

Officer : How many children do you have ?
Mom : 1 daughter

my mom is a homemaker and dad has business

2nd ATTEMPT on aug 1 2005: My mom went alone (dad expired)

Officer : Why do u want to go to USA ?
Mom : To meet my daughter and to visit USA

Officer : Show me your documents ?
Mom : (She gave her property and other financial documents, which the officer looked for some time)

Officer : Show me the documents you got from USA ?
Mom : (She gave the document I sent, and the officer looked at my husband's pay stubs, bank statement and affidavit of support for a long time)

Officer : Please come next time ? (This time they did not stamp on the passport)


she has a old mother and she did show her as proof of her returning back to india to take care of her

can anyone please help me wat to do coz i send all doc mentioned in this site, tryin to get my mom here for a visit so that she will feel a little better

Apply again.
there are many cases where visa is granted after 2 or 3rd attempt.
Follow the prcoess and hope for the best.
read experience section, and search in this forum for the similar topic and you will get some good tips.

Hi,sorry to hear that your mom could not get her visa.Pl go thro my story,My mom is also single and I am the only daughter,she got her visa in second attempt.have hope.All the best.

You might know, just for information.

Certify property documents with CA and also notarize the documents and when the CO asks for documents make sure give all the documents belongs to property.
Attach some pictures of family and property and also include bank statements for last 3-6 months, make sure she has couple of lacks. Also include Oath letter saying she will come back sure before expiry of the visa. Also have invitation letter from you. Include Itenary(Block the ticke to and return)

Put all of the above documents in one folder mark it. Tell your mom to handover all together.

Make sure she has all the sponcer documents.

Like 3-4 years W2 and tax retuerns(if you can manage it)
Paystubs(4-6) and employment letter on the company letter header.
And also Invitation letter to your mom from you and your husband.

Don't give any more chances to Officer to reject application.
