Hi All,

I am really confused as to what should I do. I want to call my mother and my grand mother here in US to stay with me and my husband for some time. But the problem is that I am worried that they will not get visa as my mother and grand mother both are widow. I also have an unmarried younger sister back in India who stays with them. Do you think in such kind of situation will they both get the visa ? Although my grand mother have been to US once, long back (about 10 yrs back).

Please do let me know if anyone has been in this kind of situation before.

Instead of worrying, i think you should get started with the process, get all your documentation in order & just go for it. Just work on showing good financial & family ties to India & don't let the existing scenario or other people's unsuccesful experiences discourage you. Give it a shot & don't worry about the odds - if you're paper-work is on order, your mom & grandmother's chances are just as good as any other's. Besides you have an unmarried sister back at home - that should be clear indication that your folks need to get back atleast for her.

Good luck & don't worry!
