Invitiation reason

Hi:

Question 1:

I scheduled an appointment for my elder brother on November 14 in chennai consulate..
I am sponsoring for the visit..His age is around 40 and his family is in chennai..
but he is going alone for the interview..
I am wondering what should correct invititation reason to put? just pleasure trip is enough?
or any other good reason..
If i say pleasure trip, they might ask why are u going alone and why u are not going with ur family etc..? so i am looking if i can any other reason in the invitation..
Pls let me know.

Question 2:

I am also sponsoring my in-laws and they are going to consulate on October 14th..
In the application form, in "pupose of visit" box, i said "Going to stay with my daughter,
grabd daughter and son-law and visit some tourist places".. Is it ok to mention the word
"stay" and i wanted to put "visit" but by mistake put "stay".. Is it ok? should i ask them
to fill up other applicaiton form?

1. What you said a surely a valid concern but thats the only reason you can give for a tourst B2 visa. In suc cases a lot depends on the interview your brother should be well prepared offor the interview.

Hi,
"Stay" and "visit" mean 2 entirely different things. It can be changed in the physical DS 156 that your brother carries to the consulate on the day of the interview.Adjudications are made based on this form and not what you have submitted on line.
