Only 6 months in US, want to invite parents

Guys, I am in the US for only the last 6 months on L-1 visa and my wife and kids are on L-2 visa. Obviously I have not filed any Income Tax return yet, and do not have any form W-2 yet. But I want to invite my parents here. Will that be possible in the absence on an IT return ? What papers, if any, can substitute an IT return ? And what are the chances of getting the visa in the absence of the IT return ?

Subjective and depends on other factors, income tax or w2 are not must but an important peice of the whole puzzel. depends on your bank balance and other documents there are chnaces that they may get the visa.
It will also important that how your parents can show ties back to home country,

Thanks Murali, that was prompt. But what kind of a bank balance would suffice ? Since I have been here only 6 months ( ! ), the bank balance is also not much. Can I also show my India funds in addition to whatever I have here ?
