Folks

I wanted to share my stamping experience with you. Initially when I went for H1 stamping, I had mentioned that I'll be working for my employer in an in-house project for sometime before moving over to client site. Since my employer is a consulting co., the consular officer was not satisfied with the inhouse project and asked me to get a detailed info about the client name, project, duration and contact person etc. I went this week with the requested docs and my stamping was done.

I would also like to mention that when you are issued a 221g asking for more info, pls try to collect that ASAP. The time you take to go back is being tracked by them.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your experience. My brother has been sent back twice citing 221(g) for his H1B stamping. Similar to your case, he has mentioned that he will be working on an internal project to begin with. However, he has been asked to provide more details on project or client. Can you please provide more details on the supporting documentation your company provided, like structure of the document, what details were covered etc?

Thanks

Pradeep

Hi kishy,
I have a similar case like you, I was also refused because of project. I am planning to appear next week, can you please suggest what I am supposed to do. Will they ask only regarding the project or they may ask anything. Please help.

Hi

My husband has got his H1B approved from an IT Consulting company in the US. The total number employees in this compnay is only around 150. He went for H1B yesterday and has been asked to produce addtional documents like what kind of project he would be working, who are the people who have joined this company and where are they now. Interior and exterior photos of the company. W2 forms of the employees and some more.

Did you have a similar experience. What is your gut feel about this. Will it be easy to get a visa. He has asked the employer to send the details and they have also agreed to do it.

So, when he goes with the supporting documents what kind of questions do you think he would be asked? Can you share your experience on this pls. Pls mail you reply to hemaspartha@yahoo.co.in
