Bank Balance to sponsor

Hi,

anyone knows how much minimum bank balance you need to show if you are sponsoring 1 person in india?

Even if you have it in multiple banks, it is fine. In my case, I used two different banks to show a total amount of 20K. Also I used 6months bank statements.

There is no hard and fast rule for the minimum amount. I read someone saying 5k is good too. My suggestions is >10K , since we are the sponsers and the purpose is visiting USA.
