Pls help - emergency trip to USA

My friend met with an accident yesterday while vacationing and is in a serious condition. He is currently in the ICU and is expected to be on bedrest at least for the next 4 months.
Is there anyway his parents can come over soon ?
Does anyone know the procedure to be followed, paperwork required etc. for this emergency situation ?

Hi,
As far as the Chennai Consulate goes, there is a particular format in which an emergency appointment has to be requested. You have to write to chennainiv@usconsulate.gov for the emergency appointment and they send you the format of questions to be answered. Reply back to them and they tell you whether they can consider giving an advanced appointment.
I am sure that there are similar procedures at other consulates too. Just try it out.
