Dress Code for the Interview

What is the dress code for the Visitor Visa interview (in Chennai)? Can Dhoti and Saree be worn during the interview?

no restriction on dress code - traditional is fine - anything which u are comfortable with

visa approval is based on the applicants ability to prove strong ties to India at the time of interview.

Thanks for all your support and effort in making this site very helpful. My Parents and in laws have got their visa today. They appeared for their interview together.

They had the interview at 8.45 in the morining and no questions other than who is staying in the US and who is who (father, mother, father in law and mother in law)

I'll come to know in 3-4 days how long they got their visa.
