Surname different

Hi

We are inviting my mother-in-law to US .
In my wife's passport her mother surname is different than the surname of my mother-in-law name in her passport is different.
Is it a problem.?
First Name and my father-in-law name is same in both the passports.

This is not an issue.
For applicant : they should use the name the visa application form as per thier passport.
