My parents are making a second attempt for the visitor visa. I would like to know whether the US consulate keeps a record of the previously asked questions.

For example, last time the consular asked about my sister living situation and my parents mentioned that she is living independently. So now for the second interview, can they say that my sister is living with them?

Hi,
Its always best to mention what the truth is. If there is a change of actual situation, you really can't do much about it. Can you? The Consular Officers will certainly have access to prior applications.
If you sister is now dependant on them, then it will actually strengthen their binding ties to homeland. So, mention the truth and substantiate it with documents.

Veena,

Thanks for your comments. I agree to the point that it is best to be honest and sincere for visa processing. I also understand that Consulate officers have access to previous applications but do they keep track of answers to the previously asked interview questions?
