Hi,

I live in California and had invited my parents to visit me next week. My parents got the visa yesterday. Now I need to book the tickets for their US visit. Just wondering will it be ok if I book the tickets for them to have Boston as the port of entry instead of LA. Is there anyway that the immigration office can check to verify the sponsors location on my parents visa etc.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Kiran

Hi Bkkiran,
They will have a problem only if their visa is issued with an annotation mentioning the place LA on their passport. In that case, you can give them a letter addressed to the Immigration Officers at Boston signed by you that though they are landing in Boston, their actual designation is going to be the place where you are staying. Also mention the reason you have booked the ticket this way.
