Hi all,

My brother has interview for B1 in Chennai, we haven't sent any papers, since he is trying to come as a tourist as he is young 38yrs old. Any suggestions for the sucess please. I have told him not to mention he has his sis here in US,

Any suggestions would be of so much help

What do you mean by B1 visa , B1 is for business trip purpose so is he coming on business related matter ? or tourist purpose ? if it is a pure tourist purpose it would B2 visa.
If he has all sufficinent funds and proof for his claim to get a tourist visa , I do not see any proplem,

Hi shoba,
If your brother is going on B1, he will need only the business papers to get him the Visa. However I think it is not a good idea to lie on the DS 156. Your being in the US will not have any effect on his B1 visa. Suppose he wants to visit you and your family on a B2 at a later time, this lie will have a bearing on his visa prospects at that point of time.
