Parking Ticket

Hi,
I've parked my car on Saturday 10.00 AM where the parking sign in Jersey City was saying that "No Parking 7 AM - 9 PM. Mon & Thurs". But I got the ticket around 11.00 AM saying it is offense and it is meter parking.... and with billed amount of 29.00 $.
Am not sure whether it is offense and I should appearin the court.
Is it really guily? What r the pros and cons of accepting the guilty even if it is not.
Will it add points against my license and will my insurance also goes up.

Any input will be of great help. Please help me guys.

It is parking ticket and if you have proof go to court and say not guilty .
Other wise pay money it will not effect any thing ,itis parking offence.
