Visitor Visa Extension Qn.

Hello ,

I have following situation and need some help:

My parents have a visitor visa expiring Sept 7th.They are planning to come here in July and we want them to stay here till March which is around 8 months.

What are the possible options to do that ?
1. they enter on current visa & we apply for extension ( but as their visa is expiring i am not sure if extension will get approved and also if they will get 6 month stay on i-94)
2. apply for new visa in India and hope it gets approved

please let me know what is the best thing to do in this situation & if there will be any problems.

The stay will be dtermine by the I94 and not by the Visa expiry so no need to apply for a new Visa in India. If thier visa is still valid they can enter any time before it expires and at the POE officer may give them 6 months from that day of entry , in most of the cases people get 6 months stay on I94.
Once they are in USA, you can apply for a extension if you wish to ..
