hi
My mom went for visitors visa second time yesterday and got rejected. the first they didn't ask more than 2 question. this time they saw all the papers and asked questions like why she wants to go, and what does she do her etc.

my mom is widow and my brother lives in bangalore. she attempted the second time after one year giving a good time between the tow. she has a home and get pension in india. after reviewing all the documents the counselor rejected the visa.

what can I do to improve the situation. what else can we show as binding in india. this is frustating as I feel helpless to improve the situation.

Also the conselor mentioned that the banl balance of $15,000 i showed was low apart from me being a home owner
Any advice or stories of hope will be good.

The comment about your bank balance is unheard of during an interview, I think she has to re-apply, this time make some affidavits like the one mentioned on our website and also an affidavit from her stating she will come back after a temporary stay in the US.

I made an affidafit both times from my side, but my mom didn't prepare an affidafit. do they really take that into consideration ?

how many times can she try for the visa ? and what will be a good time period between two visits.

u can make any number of attempts - minimum wait time is 3 days per the info on ttsvisas.com
Affidavit from applicants side might not make much of a difference. ur document showing all details shld be enough.
