I am willing to sponsor my parents for visitor visa who are ages 71 and 69. They will have to visit Mumbai consulate for visa. I have 3 questions:
(1) Is it required they go personally to Ahmedabad Office to take appointment for visa?
Can anyone go on behalf of them with all the documents?
(2) Please let me know how many drafts of what amount do they need. Also do they have to go give all drafts at time of taking appointment (Ahmedabad) OR do they have to take drafts to Mumbai at time of visa interview?
(3) If they are ages 71 and 69. Is there any drop box facility available. If yes where and how could they use it. OR will thay have to go personally for interview?

Thank You.

They need not go in person to fix the appointment, somebody can go on their behalf to the VFS with their documents.

All 3 drafts have to be taken to the VFS along with the initial documentation required to fix an appointment. Details can be found here:

Unfortunately, the drop box service is no longer available, even for senior citizens so your parents would need to attend the interview in person.

Good luck!
