visa procedure for senior citizens.

My maternal grandmother recently got her passport and im planning her visit to usa next month at the earliest. she is 70+ . what i would like to know is does my grandmother have to attend the interview at the counslate. also please let me know the procedure to follow for applying for visitor visa.

Nowadays, everybody needs to attend an interview at the consulate and there is no exemption for senior citizens.
Just follow the guidelines given in this website with regards to booking an appointment and papers required for the interview.
