I applied for a B1/B2 (for Business Trip) at Chennai Consulate. I had all documents including invitation letter from my US counterpart, my degree certificates etc.
The consular rejected my visa under 221(g). He asked for my transcipts (marksheets) from my US university. He said that I should send the same via TTS drop box.
Since I did not have the original copy of my transcript, I got it faxed from my University's Admission office in US. The University's Admission officer also wrote a letter for the consular.
I sent this along with all other documets to the consulate via the TTS. It's already 1 week and I have not heard from the consulate.
I would like to know if they (consulate) will accept the faxed copy of my transcripts (Note: he did not mention on the 221(g) form if I need to submit original/copy). I will appreciate any response on this issue.
