Passport Expires after 20 years

Hi,

There was this news in the paper about the visitors visas getting rejected if the passport validity is more than 10 years. My parents have already applied for a US visa and their passport validity is for 20 years. Their interview is in June 2005. Can someone please advise what can I do going forward?

I dont think there is any official news cast from consulate and authorties.
May be as a precaution some people are getting the 20yrs passport rectified to 10 yrs.
so I think it should be OK .
One thing is sure if this would have been a offical requirement it must have been published on consulate and/or services provides ( TTS/ VFS) websites. So take it easy on for now...
