sponser name confusion [Archive]

My husband has a very long name in passport so after coming to usa he cut short his name so he has his long names in green card and passport and other immigration related documents and he has his short name in drivers license, company where he works and hence his tax returns, banks. so we wanted to get notarized a copy of letter which says that the long name and the short name persons are the same. but do not know where and who can do that?does someone know where and who does that?
Can someone please help..

Do not worry, provide the name as per in his passport is possible, else the short would do too, make sure in case asked the person giving interview and can explain this ...
