Gold, dimond as asset??

I want to know that how can i show my gold, dimonds as an asset..??
What is the exact procedure??
do i have to get a letter from bank or what do i have to do please let me know??
In case if i have to get a letter from bank then how can i as i do not have these gold and dimonds in bank.. bt i would definatly like to show them as my fixed deposit..please help me.
