Hi,

My parents visitor visa got rejected on April 12 for 214(b) in mumbai. These are the question asked

1. Why are you going?
To meet our son and enjoy tourism

2. What does your son do?
Explained

3. What business you do?
Explained

4. How many children you have?
My dad said 2, one son who is in US and an elder daughter who is married and leaving in mumbai

Before any more discussion the officer pulled out the letter of rejection and returned their passport and other documents. But the officer kept the Affidavit of support (I-134) and the letter to consulate that I had send. Why did he not returned my I-134 and letter.

What do you think must have gone wrong? My parents did not get a chance to show their property documenrs to the officer also none of my document except I-134 and Letter to Consulate was seen.

My parents are planning for the second time so do I have to send them the another copy of I-134 and Letter to consulate. Also please provide me some valuable tips which I can tell my parents to produce strong reasons to come back to India.

Please respond to this query as its really valuable to me.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Some times it si difficut to get or dig down on Why it is refused. Many things are subjective to a specifci case , there could be several reasons , the key reason is always the Interview and how the applicant present themself and also depedns on the officer .
Yes send a fresh letter and I134.
Ask your parents in details abt the whole sequence of the events and try to assess the sitation and case your self.
Search in this forum and experience section for similar post and you can find some good info and Tips.
